A life-long love
Kids’ football coaching at Spartans Community Foundation in Edinburgh is all about developing football skills in a fun, safe and friendly environment. We want children to develop a life-long love of the game through learning and mastering new skills, from enjoying being active and most of all, from making new friends. We have a range of sessions all week and during school holidays. Coaching is for children aged 3-12 years. All of our classes have a trial session option. When you book onto our coaching you can choose to “pay it forward” and donate the cost of a coaching session that will be gifted in our local community.
Our connection to Spartans FC Youth Section
Spartans Community Foundation is the charitable arm of Spartans FC. Our community coaching programmes are a commercial service that supports the charity and social enterprise. We know that many of you would like your children to become involved with Spartans Youth Section. Our community coaching programmes are a pathway into Spartans Youth Section. When spaces become available in youth teams (12 years and under), children taking part in our community football programmes who meet the selection criteria will be signposted to the appropriate youth section team.
Spartans Youth Selection Criteria
Each player is assessed on the basis of:
Ability - skill development and progression
Behaviour - effort, listening, sportsmanship, teamwork
Loyalty - attendance
Locality - proximity to Spartans Community Foundation

Volunteer with us
We have a range of volunteering opportunities at Spartans Community Foundation across our Education, Youth Work, Health and Wellbeing, Faciliites, Football Development and Business Operations. We welcome individuals and corporate teams. If you’d like to get involved please email us.
