Finance Manager Recruitment

As our new Finance Manager you will work with the CEO and members of the Senior Management Team to ensure sound financial stewardship by managing budgets, overseeing financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making to support, sustain and grow the Foundation's community impact and commercial sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Processing of monthly payroll including all relevant pension and payroll taxes reporting.
• Manage quarter end prepayments and accruals, including deferred and accrued income.
• Responsible for correct coding of purchase invoices.
• Develop and implement long-term financial strategies to support the Foundation’s mission and programs.
• Responsible for submission of VAT return, one per quarter using Xero accounting software.
• Prepare quarterly management accounts.
• Post quarter end intercompany recharges.
• Complete annual VAT recharge % calculation.
• Oversee and approve petty cash reconciliation.
• Complete Balance Sheet reconciliations at Quarter End.
• Support with preparation of schedules for annual audit and manage audit process.
• Responsible for coaching and development of junior member of accounting staff.
• Ad-hoc finance support for the Finance Trustee, Business Manager and Chief Executive.
• Analysis of P&L and Balance Sheet variances to budget in Quarterly Accounts
• Track the receipt and use of grants and donations.
• Prepare annual budgets in collaboration with departments.11

• Build, nurture, and maintain healthy working relationships with keycustomers and stakeholders in the community, e.g. partners, funders,
football club, and suppliers.
• Provide financial data and analysis to support funding applications and reports.
• Contribute to Business Growth – Assist in financial strategies that improve financial stability and sustainability.
• Attend regular staff meetings, including Team Leaders and SMT meetings, to support Team Leaders and SMT with financial insights for
decision making.
• Suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency and identify savings.
• Support non-financial staff with budgeting, reporting, and compliance.
You will support the Foundation to reach its strategic objectives and contribute to the successful delivery of our social enterprise, ensuring that we are “here for good” in North Edinburgh.
